No-bake Alamo Firecrackers

Posted by Ashley Robustelli on

If you want a party-pleaser, no-bake, easiest-thing-ever-to-make snack, then look no further... because THIS is it! I cannot tell you the amount of compliments I have received on these crackers over the past 10 years. They are so EASY to make and great for BBQs, Super Bowl parties, or any type of gathering that involves food. Trust me, you will not regret making these!

- 4 sleeves of Saltine crackers (can easily do 2-3 sleeves for smaller gatherings)
- 1 cup canola oil
- 1 packet dry Ranch seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp red pepper flakes (leave out or reduce if you do not like spicy food)

In a gallon ziploc bag, mix the oil and seasonings together. Make sure to combine well and coat the entire inside of the bag. Add crackers one sleeve at a time. Shake well, turning the bag over several times to make sure all crackers become coated. Let sit for 24 hours, flipping occasionally.

That's it! Can you believe that? So simple. So easy. So yummy!
Make sure to prepare ahead of time so these can sit for a full 24 hours (or at least 12). They will have no flavor if you try to serve them immediately. You can let them sit for longer, but I do not recommend it. They will become soggy from the oil.
