Marinated Flank Steak
Posted by Ashley Robustelli on
Once I became introduced to this meal, it quickly became one of my absolute favorites! It takes minimal prep work, yet is so flavorful and delicious. This is also a great meal to cook for parents, coworkers, friends, or neighbors. It has become one of our go-to recipes!
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 lbs flank steak*
- 1.5 cups oil
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp dry mustard
- 1 Tbsp pepper
- 1/2 Tbsp parsley
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 2.5 Tbsp salt
RECIPE:
In a medium bowl, mix all of the ingredients except the meat. Transfer mixture into a gallon-size ziplock bag. Add the meat to the bag and allow to marinate for up to 2 days (longer if you decide to freeze). When ready to eat, remove meat from marinade and place directly onto a hot grill. Cook meat as desired, preferably until medium (warm pink center). Discard remaining marinade. Once meat is done cooking, tent with foil and allow to rest for 5 minutes to retain juices. Then, slice against the grain into strips and serve.
NOTES:
I love this recipe because it's quick and can be prepped in advance and frozen. If you find a great deal on meat, you can marinate it in a gallon ziplock bag and freeze it for weeks before cooking. We do this often!
Pair your steak with this French-style potato salad, plus some greens, and you'll end up with a well-rounded and impressive meal!
*This recipe is also delicious with tri-tip steak.
