I am a huge fan of french dips! But it is always a meal that I left to the professionals. I never attempted to make my own because it seemed complicated. Until now! I found a super easy way to make them, and they are delicious!
- chuck roast OR thinly sliced sirloin steak OR bottom round steak
- 1 packet dry Au Jus mixed with 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup butter (half a stick)
- Kaiser rolls
- garlic salt
- provolone cheese
Add beef, water mixture, and butter to crockpot. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. Half rolls and spread a layer of mayonnaise on each side. Lightly sprinkle with garlic salt. Add a slice of provolone to each side and melt slightly (either by broiler or microwave). When the meat is done cooking, you can shred it inside the crockpot OR remove it to slice and keep the Au jus separate. Add your beef to the sandwich and serve! These are so delicious and simple to make!
