Bible Verses for Every Room of your Home

Posted by Ashley Robustelli on

We are in the process of building our forever home (and by that, I mean that it is being built for us!), and we have been enjoying every step of the process. It is such a blessing to be at this point in our lives, knowing that we will be in this house permanently after 8 moves in 9 years! We are ready to finally settle down. It is also cool to choose every color, finish, and detail and watch your home come together before your eyes.

Currently our house is in the 'stud' phase of building, and we knew we wanted to do something extra special during this step. God brought us to this point in our lives and has blessed us so that we are able to build this home, and we wanted to make sure He would be present in every inch of this house! So, we decided to write bible verses on the studs of each room. This was not our original idea, but as soon as I heard about it, I knew I wanted to do it. What better way to bless your home down to its roots?!

Doing this gives me a calming peace about this house. A peace to know that it will be sturdily built. A peace to know that He will be present always. A peace to know that this is the right step for us. Truly, I am so glad we did this!

We only used a pen and it didn't take long at all. I would highly recommend it to anyone building or renovating a home. Below are the verses that we chose for each room of the house!

Entryway

May you be blessed when you go in and blessed when you go out.
Deuteronomy 28:6

Kitchen and Dining

They broke bread in theirs homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.
Acts 2:46

Office

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human master.
Colossians 3:23

Laundry Room

Cleanse me, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Psalms 51:7

Master Bedroom

I am my beloved's and he is mine.
Song of Solomon 3:4

Closets

Clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness and patience.
Colossians 3:12

Therefore put on the full armor of God.
Ephesians 6:13-18

Bathroom

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
1 Peter 3:3-4
I wasn't able to grab pics of each verse, but I am happy to at least document them here for you! I hope this list encourages you and blesses your home, just like it did for mine!
