This project is great for indoors OR outdoors, and it’s one of my favorites to date! It’s easy to make and doesn’t cost much. You can’t go wrong!

To watch the video tutorial, check out my Instagram profile. It is saved in my story highlights. Look for ‘DIY Wall Pots.’

  • Wood base
  • Wall-mount pot holders – can be found in several sizes at Home Depot
  • Stain
  • Pots – make sure to get the correct size for your pot holders
  • Paint (optional)
  • Paintbrush (optional)
  • Drill
  • Screws
  • Ruler
  • Pencil/chalk
  • Plants

First, you’ll want to prep your base and your pots!

For your base: you can create it in whatever shape and size you prefer. I chose a skinny horizontal board to hang 3 pots next to each other. Others have used a sheet of plywood to hang 9 pots, or smaller individual pieces of wood to hang each pot. Whatever style you choose, cut your base down to size, sand it, and stain or paint it.

For your pots: choose to keep the original terra-cotta OR paint them! I painted mine with 2 coats of white Valspar chalk paint.
